A ticket is a question that blocks a mission until you answer. An agent opens a ticket when it needs something only you can give: a decision, an approval, access, an action, or information. The mission waits in Needs you on the Missions board until you answer. All open tickets are in My Tickets in the sidebar. The badge on My Tickets counts the open tickets plus the missions that wait on you without a ticket. Home also shows how many tickets need your input. On mobile, open the menu to find My Tickets.

Read a ticket card

Open My Tickets in the sidebar. The screen is titled Tickets waiting on you. Each card shows:

Know the ask types

A ticket can hold several asks. Each ask has a type.

Answer a ticket

1

Open My Tickets

Select My Tickets in the sidebar.
2

Find the ticket

Find the ticket. The card shows the agent, the mission, and how many asks wait for you.
3

Answer each ask

For each ask, select the answer button.
4

Add text if needed

If the ask needs text, type it and send it.
When you answer the last ask, the ticket closes and the mission unblocks. The agent wakes with your answers and continues. The hint under a ticket tells you how many answers are still needed. To talk about an ask before you answer, select Discuss with and the agent name. The chat opens in a thread for this ticket. To see the mission, select View mission →.
In an Input ask, the file picker (Drop a file or click to upload) sends only the file name to the agent. The file itself is not sent. To give the agent a file, attach it in the Discuss with chat or in a mission comment.
Never paste a password or API key into a ticket answer. Use Open Custom integrations → instead. See Add an MCP server or an API key.
You can also answer a ticket from a TICKET · NEEDS YOU card in chat. See Chat with your agents. If you answer the question in chat instead of in the ticket, the agent can close the ask for you with your words quoted.

Undo an answer

  1. Find the answered ask. It shows ✓ Answered or your note. Select Show request to see what the agent asked.
  2. Select Undo.
Squad reopens the ask, blocks the mission again, and tells the agent. If the mission is already done, Squad shows Too late to undo. This mission already finished. If the mission is no longer on the board, Squad shows Can’t undo. This mission is no longer on the board.
Undo does not reverse what the agent already did with your answer. If the agent sent an email or spent money, that stays done.
To see answered tickets, select Show resolved. Select Hide resolved to hide them again.

Answer a stalled-mission ticket

When a mission in progress has not moved for some days, Squad opens a ticket for you. For the timing, see Track work on the Missions board. The ticket gives you three options.

Archive or trash one ticket

  1. On the ticket card, select ⋯ (Ticket actions).
  2. Select one:
    • Archive: type an optional reason (Why? (optional, your agent sees this)), then select Archive. The ticket closes with no answer, and its mission moves to Archived.
    • Move to Trash: the ticket closes with no answer, and its mission moves to Trash.
You can restore the mission from Archived or Trash on the Missions board.

Clear all open tickets

Clear all shows when you have more than one open ticket. It closes every ticket that is open when you confirm. No ask gets an answer.
1

Select Clear all

Select Clear all and the count, for example Clear all (6).
2

Read the message

Read the message: Clears all N open tickets. Nothing gets answered. Choose what happens to their missions:
3

Choose an option

Select one option:
With Keep missions on the board, the agents are not told. A mission moves only when its agent runs again, for example on its heartbeat. See Schedule recurring work. If the mission shows no progress for 2 days, Squad nudges the agent. If the mission stays quiet after that, Squad opens a new ticket.

Clear only old tickets

When at least one ticket has waited more than a day, filter chips show All and Aging (more than 1 day), each with a count. When a ticket has waited more than 30 days, a 30+ days chip shows too, and a banner offers Review them, which selects that chip.
1

Pick a filter

Select Aging or 30+ days.
2

Archive the filtered tickets

Select Archive all and the count filtered, for example Archive all 4 filtered.
3

Add a reason (optional)

Type an optional reason (Why? (optional, your agents see this)). Your agents see it.
4

Confirm

Select Yes, archive them.
The tickets close with no answer, and their missions move to Archived.

Handle missions waiting without a ticket

Some missions wait for you but have no ticket. They show under Waiting without a ticket with the count. The section says: These missions are paused for you, but the agent never said exactly what it needs. Ask, and it files a ticket with its specific asks.
  • To ask one agent, select Ask for a ticket on the row. The row changes to Asked · ticket coming.
  • To ask every agent, select Ask all agents.
  • A mission with no owner shows Unassigned. Open it to pick an agent. Open it and assign an agent.
  • A mission assigned to you shows It’s on you. Answer it from the mission. Open it and answer.
  • To clear the whole section, select Clear all. The button changes to Archive all N? They move to Archived. Select it again to confirm. The missions move to Archived.

What agents can do with tickets

  • Open a ticket with one or more asks. The mission moves to Needs you.
  • Show a ticket in chat as a TICKET · NEEDS YOU card.
  • Close an ask for you when you answered it somewhere else, for example in chat or Telegram. The agent must quote your exact words, and the ticket records the quote.
  • Withdraw its own open asks when they are no longer needed. The agent posts the reason in the mission.
  • Archive every open ticket at once, only when you ask for it in your own words. The missions move to Archived.
  • Agents cannot answer the stalled-mission tickets that Squad opens. Only you can pick Nudge, Park it, or It’s fine.
  • Put decisions that are not urgent into one digest ticket. Your squad’s instructions ask for this.

Common questions

The mission stays in Needs you, and the agent does not continue that mission. After 30 days, a banner offers Review them. You can archive old tickets at any time.
The ticket closes with no answer, and the mission moves to Archived. Restore the mission from Archived on the Missions board to bring it back.
Yes. On a phone, open the menu and select My Tickets.

Check that it works

  • After your last answer, the ticket leaves the open list and the mission moves from Needs you to In flight.
  • When nothing is open, My Tickets shows You’re all caught up.

Troubleshooting

  • You answered, but the mission did not move. Cause: the ticket has more asks. Fix: read the hint under the ticket and answer the rest.
  • An answered ticket shows again. Cause: the agent needs more from you and added new asks. Fix: answer the new asks.
  • You get the same kind of question again and again. Cause: the rule lives only in your old answers. Fix: tell your lead to save the rule as standing policy. See Give your squad work that it can finish.
