SiteGPT is an AI support chatbot trained on your website content. Connect it, and your agents can work on your chatbots, visitor conversations, and training content. SiteGPT is in the Recommended section of the catalog. It does not use the app sign-in that other apps use. You approve Squad inside your SiteGPT account, or you paste a SiteGPT API key.

What agents can do in SiteGPT

Agents get 3 SiteGPT tools. One finds SiteGPT API endpoints, one makes read-only calls, and one creates or updates resources. Squad does not block any SiteGPT tool. SiteGPT has no access levels in Squad, and there is no Per-agent access setting for it. The tools appear within a couple of minutes after you connect. Until then, agents cannot see them.

Connect SiteGPT

Before you start:
  • You need a SiteGPT account. You can create one at sitegpt.ai.
  • Your Squad subscription must be active.

Open Integrations

Open Settings > Integrations.

Add an integration

On the Connected apps tab, click + Add integration.

Choose SiteGPT

Under Recommended, click SiteGPT. The Connect SiteGPT window opens.

Sign in with SiteGPT

Click Sign in with SiteGPT. The SiteGPT approval page opens in a new tab.

Enter the code if asked

If the approval page asks for a code, enter the code that the Squad window shows.

Approve in SiteGPT

Approve the request in SiteGPT.

Go back to Squad

Go back to the Squad tab. Keep the Connect SiteGPT window open until it closes by itself.
If the new tab does not open, click Open the approval page → in the Squad window. The sign-in gives Squad a SiteGPT token with every self-service permission that your SiteGPT role can grant. Squad requests a token that lasts 365 days.

Choose the API key option

In the Connect SiteGPT window, click Paste an API key instead.

Copy your SiteGPT API key

In SiteGPT, create a chatbot if you have none. Then copy your API key from your account settings.

Paste the key

Paste the key in the API key field.

Click Connect SiteGPT

Click Connect SiteGPT.
Check that it works: the window shows “Connected. Your agents can use SiteGPT.” when you open it again, and SiteGPT shows under YOUR CONNECTIONS.

Replace the credential

  • To sign in again, open the account menu (⋯) on the SiteGPT row and click Sign in again. Then click Sign in again to replace the credential and approve in SiteGPT.
  • To use a new API key, open the account menu (⋯) and click Replace key. Paste the key and click Save new key.
Squad stores one SiteGPT credential for your workspace. A new sign-in or a new key replaces the old one. You cannot connect a second SiteGPT account.

Disconnect SiteGPT

Open the account menu (⋯) on the SiteGPT row and click Disconnect. Squad deletes the stored credential from your workspace computer.
Disconnect in the account menu acts at once. In the Manage SiteGPT window, Disconnect asks you to click Really disconnect? first.

Costs

SiteGPT tools do not use Squad credits. Connected apps never use credits. For what does use credits, see What Squad costs.
