Use this page when you have a question about Squad or something does not work. It covers the Help & support screen, your lead agent, email support, and the What’s new list.

Open Help & support

  1. In the top bar, select the question mark. Its tooltip is Help Center.
  2. The Help & support screen opens.
On a small screen, the question mark is not in the top bar. Open the command palette with Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and select Help & support. Help & support has these parts:

Find an answer in the docs

  • Use the search at the top of any docs page.
  • In the dashboard, open the command palette with Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and type your question. Matching docs pages show under Help & guides. Select one to open it in a new tab.
For an error message, search these docs for its exact text. The troubleshooting pages list messages with a cause and a fix: setup, agents and runs, email, and billing. See also the FAQ.

Ask your lead agent

Your lead agent can answer questions about your own workspace and look at what went wrong.
1

Open the lead chat

On Help & support, select Ask your AI Chief of Staff.
2

Check the draft

A chat with your lead agent opens, with “I need help with: ” already typed.
3

Send your question

Finish the sentence and send it.
This card opens a chat with your own lead agent, not with the Squad team. To reach a person, email support.

Email Squad support

  1. On Help & support, select Email us. Your email app opens a message to support@squad.so.
  2. Send the email from the email address of your Squad account.
You can also write to support@squad.so from any email app.

What to put in your request

A complete request gets a faster answer. Include:
  • The email address of your Squad account.
  • What you tried to do, and what happened instead.
  • The exact text of any error message. Copy it, do not describe it.
  • The time that the problem happened, with your time zone.
  • For a failed run: the agent name, the run time from Runs, and the text from Technical details in the run detail.
  • For an email problem: the inbox address and the address of the other person.
  • For a billing question: the date of the charge.
Do not send passwords, API keys, or AI tokens in your email.

Requests that need support

Contact support for these cases, because the dashboard cannot do them:

See what changed in Squad

The What’s new screen lists every update to Squad, newest first.
  1. In the top bar, select the sparkles button. Its tooltip is What’s new. A number on the button shows the updates that you have not seen.
  2. You can also open the account menu and select What’s new, or select Changelog at the bottom of Help & support.
On What’s new:
  • Use the filters All, Features, Models, Improvements, and Fixes.
  • Each update has a tag: New, Improved, Fixed, or New model.
  • Select Mark all read to clear the count.
Check What’s new when something in the dashboard looks different from these docs.

Check that it works

  • Your lead agent answers in chat.
  • Your email to support@squad.so is in your sent mail, from your account email.
