Missions
Board columns
The Missions board has four columns. Each mission is in one column, based on its status. The board shows the column names in capitals, for example IN FLIGHT. These docs write them as Backlog, Needs you, In flight, and Done.
A new mission goes to In flight with the label Assigned when you pick an agent for it. With no agent, it goes to Backlog. The Done subtitle changes to Recently completed when older missions are shown.
A mission moves to Needs you when an agent opens a ticket on it. When you answer every ask on the ticket, the mission goes back to In flight and the agent continues. See Answer tickets in My Tickets.
Other mission badges
Archived missions and missions in Trash are not on the board. They are in the Archived and Trash views. See Track work on the Missions board.
Tickets
A ticket is either open or resolved. It is resolved when every ask on it has an answer.Ask types
Each ask on a ticket has a type. The type sets the buttons that you see.
An answered ask shows its answer and an Undo button. Undo opens the ask again and puts the mission back in Needs you.
Agents
Status on the agent profile
On a shared public view, visitors see Waiting where you see Needs you.
The profile also shows a level tag: Lead for the lead agent, and Specialist for every other agent.
Banners on the agent profile
Status line in the sidebar
Under each name in the sidebar, a line of text shows what the agent is doing. The colored dot next to the name is the agent’s own color. It does not show status.
The header above the list shows N working. When the sidebar is collapsed, each agent’s tooltip ends in working or idle.

Card headers in chat
Agents post these cards in chat. Each header tells you what the card wants.
After you act on a card, it shows what happened, for example ✓ saved to the vault, ✓ added, or Answered and the time, followed by · sent to the agent. For how to use each card, see Chat with your agents.
Conversation tabs
With two or more conversations open, a row of agent pictures shows above the chat. Each picture is one conversation. The first nine show their shortcut, such as ⌥1, and each has an × that closes it.
Point at a tab, or move to it with the keyboard, to see its hover card. The card shows the agent, when the last message came, the conversation’s first message or name, and the last message with who wrote it. For the first nine tabs it also shows the shortcut, such as Press ⌥1 to open it.

Notes on a run
For how long a run can stay silent, see Limits and defaults.
When a Claude Code account reaches its usage limit during a run, Squad switches to your next Claude Code account. If the run had not done any work yet, Squad runs it once more on the new account. A run that had already started working is not repeated. The next run uses the new account. For the Runs and Health screens, see See what your agents did: Runs, Health, and Live Feed.

Docs
These badges are kept in your browser. A different browser or device shows its own badges. Archived docs never show a badge.
What’s new
Each entry in What’s new has a type label. The filters at the top are All, Features, Models, Improvements, and Fixes.Subscription
See Manage your subscription, credits, and workspace data.
Notification events
These are the events on Settings > Notifications. Each has an IN-APP switch and an EMAIL switch. A dash means the event has no email.
When the IN-APP switch of an event is off, that event does not show in the bell. The bell shows up to 8 of your newest unread notifications. Clicking a reply notification opens that conversation. Other notifications open the Live Feed. For more, see Choose your notifications.
