This page is for anyone who wants to move around the dashboard faster. It lists what the command palette finds, every keyboard shortcut, how to reach screens that are not in the sidebar, how pins work, and how the layout changes on a phone. ## Command palette The command palette finds agents, missions, docs, emails, and screens, and it runs a few actions. | To | Do this | | ------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Open or close the palette | Press **⌘K** on a Mac or **Ctrl+K** on Windows and Linux. This works on every screen, also while you type in a text field. | | Open the palette with the mouse | Click **Search or jump to…** in the top bar. | | Move through the results | Press **↑** and **↓**, or **Tab** and **Shift+Tab**. **Tab** wraps from the last result to the first. | | Open the selected result | Press **Enter**, or click the result. | | Close the palette | Press **Esc**, or click outside it. | When nothing matches, the palette shows **No results for** and your text. ### What the palette searches With an empty search field, the palette lists every screen under **Navigate** and every action under **Actions**. When you type, it shows matching items first and matching screens and actions after them. It shows up to 40 results. The row says **Connected** or **In the catalog · connect it**. | Up to 4 | | **Help & guides** | Docs page title and summary. Selecting a result opens the page at squad.so/docs in a new tab. | Up to 4 | | **Navigate** and **Actions** | Screen name, its description, and related words | All matches | Email results come from the emails that the Email screen loaded. If you have not opened **Email** since you opened the dashboard, the palette shows no email results. Screens also match related words that are not shown. For example, "timezone" finds **Workspace general**, and "api key" finds **AI Tokens** and **Secrets**. ### Screens in the palette These are the **Navigate** entries, in the order the palette lists them. | Entry | Description in the palette | | ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- | | **Home** | None | | **Missions** | Squad missions board | | **My Tickets** | Decisions waiting on you | | **Archived missions** | None | | **Email** | Agent inboxes | | **Docs** | Documents library | | **Live Feed** | Real-time squad activity | | **What's possible** | Browse skills & workflows | | **Skills** | Skills your agents built | | **Settings** | None | | **Integrations** | Connected apps & accounts | | **Memory** | What your squad remembers | | **Agent notes** | Notes, personality, and what each agent knows about you | | **AI Tokens** | Model provider connections | | **Secrets** | Custom integration credentials | | **Email domains** | Custom sending domain | | **Billing & credits** | Plan, credits, payment | | **Notification settings** | In-app & email alerts | | **Backup & Export** | Download workspace data as JSON | | **Workspace general** | Name, region, danger zone | | **Agent configuration** | Workspace defaults, allowed models, overrides | | **Runs** | Every agent execution, cost, and result | | **Help & support** | Docs & contact | | **What's new** | Product changelog | | **Agent Tools** | Everything agents can use; turn off what you don’t need | | **Telegram** | Chat with your squad from your phone | | **Discord** | Your agents on Discord | | **Slack** | Your agents in Slack | | **Public Dashboard** | Read-only shareable view | Some entries use a different name from the screen they open. **Secrets** opens the **Custom integrations** tab of Integrations. **Agent Tools** opens **Tools**. **Workspace general** opens **General**, which has no region setting. **Billing & credits** opens **Billing**. ### Actions in the palette | Action | What it does | | ------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Collapse sidebar** or **Expand sidebar** | Shrinks the sidebar to icons, or opens it again. | | **Pin a mission** | Opens a picker and pins the mission you choose to the sidebar. | | **Pin a doc** | Same, for a doc. | | **Pin an email** | Same, for an email. | | **Pin a reminder** | Same, for a scheduled task. | | **Pin a conversation** | Same, for a conversation with an agent. | The palette has no other actions. To ask an agent to do something, use chat. ## Keyboard shortcuts ### Shortcuts on every screen These single keys work when the cursor is not in a text field. They do not work with **⌘**, **Ctrl**, or **Alt** held down. Letter keys work only as lowercase letters, so they do nothing with **Shift** or Caps Lock on. | Key | What it does | | ----------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **⌘K** or **Ctrl+K** | Opens or closes the command palette. This one also works in text fields. | | **H** | Opens Home. | | **B** | Opens the Missions board. | | **E** | Opens Email. | | **C** | Opens Chat. | | **F** | Opens the Live Feed. | | **R** | Opens Runs. | | **?** | Opens or closes the **Keyboard shortcuts** legend. | | **Esc** | Closes the legend, the palette, the welcome window, or a doc preview. | | **Option+1** to **Option+9** (**Alt+1** to **Alt+9**) | Jumps to open conversation tab 1 to 9. This works only when two or more tabs are open, and not while you type in a text field. Each tab shows its key, such as **⌥1**, and its hover card says **Press ⌥1 to open it.** The legend does not list it. | ### Shortcuts on one screen | Where | Key | What it does | | ----- | -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Email | **J** | Opens the next email in the list. After the last email, it goes to the first. | | Email | **K** | Opens the previous email in the list. Before the first email, it goes to the last. | | Runs | **D**, **W**, **M**, **S** | Switch to the **Day**, **Week**, **Month**, or **Schedule** view. | | Runs | **T** | Jumps back to today. | | Runs | **←** | Moves the date window 3 days back, to older runs. It stops at 27 days back. | | Runs | **→** | Moves the date window 3 days forward, toward today. | The Runs keys do not work while a run's details are open. ### Shortcuts in a message box These keys work in the message box on Home, in chat, in threads, and in group chats. | Key | What it does | | ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Enter** | Sends the message. | | **Shift+Enter** | Starts a new line. | | **@** | Lists your agents, so you can mention one. | | **/** | Lists skills, so you can pick one. | | **#** | Lists missions and docs, so you can reference one. | | **Enter** or **Tab** in a list | Picks the selected item. | | **Esc** in a list | Closes the list. | | **↑** at the start of the box | Brings back a message you sent before. **↓** steps forward again. | In the Squad chat, **/** does not list skills, and **#** links docs only. When you rename a conversation, **Enter** saves the name and **Esc** cancels. ### Shortcuts in forms and windows | Where | Key | What it does | | -------------------------------------- | --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | New mission window, **TITLE** field | **Enter** | Creates the mission. | | Docs, new doc title or new folder name | **Enter** | Creates the doc or folder. **Esc** cancels. | | Memory, **Memories** search | **Enter** | Runs the search. | | My Tickets, archive reason | **Enter** | Archives the ticket, or the filtered tickets. | | A doc preview | **Esc** | Closes the preview. While you type in a field of the doc, **Esc** only leaves the field. | | Open menus and windows | **Esc** | Closes most menus and confirm windows. | ## Screens you reach only by search, a link, or the URL Some screens are not in the sidebar. This table shows how to reach them. | Screen | How to reach it | | ------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Health | A link that appears when runs failed today: on Home, on the Missions board, or on an agent's profile. You can also go to `/dashboard/health`. Health is not in the palette. | | Calendar (titled **Schedule**) | **View full calendar →** in the TODAY'S SCHEDULE card on Home, or `/dashboard/calendar`. It is not in the palette. | | Live Feed | The **F** key, the palette, **Open live feed** on Home, **View all** in the notification bell, or `/dashboard/feed`. | | Runs | The **R** key, the palette, **Settings** > **Runs**, or `/dashboard/runs`. | | What's possible | The palette, or **Explore all →** on Home. | | Archived missions | The palette, or the **Archived** link on the Missions toolbar. | | Custom integrations | The palette entry **Secrets**, a Settings search such as "secret", or the **Custom integrations** tab on Integrations. | | **Help & support** on a phone | The palette entry **Help & support**. The top-bar help icon is hidden on small screens. | ## Pins Pins keep a mission, doc, email, reminder, or conversation one click away in the PINNED section of the sidebar. * The PINNED section is hidden until you pin something. To pin a doc, an email, or a reminder before then, use a **Pin** action in the palette. * You can also pin a mission from its card menu, and a conversation from its header with **Pin to sidebar**. Pinning a conversation again unpins it. * Pins are saved to your account. They show on every computer and phone where you sign in to the workspace. * A pinned conversation shows its current name, also after you rename it. * A new pin shows after Squad saves it. If the save fails, the sidebar does not change. For the size limit, see [Limits and defaults](/docs/limits-and-defaults#sidebar). ## Top bar and sidebar | Control | What it does | | ---------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Message icon in the top bar | With unread replies, it shows a count and lists the replies you have not seen. With no unread replies, it opens your last conversation in a panel beside the current screen. Click again to close the panel. | | Help icon (**?**) in the top bar | Opens **Help & support**. It is hidden on small screens. | | **What's new** icon in the top bar | Opens the changelog. It is hidden on small screens. **What's new** is also in the account menu. | | Bell in the top bar | Shows your unread notifications. | | Icons at the bottom of the sidebar | Open **Integrations**, **Tools**, **Skills**, **Agent Configuration**, and **AI Tokens**. The last icon collapses the sidebar. | | Right edge of the sidebar | Drag it to make the sidebar wider or narrower. Double-click it to go back to the default width. | ### On a phone On a small screen, the dashboard changes its layout. | Control | What it does | | ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Menu** button at the top left | Opens the full sidebar, including **My Tickets**, **YOUR SQUAD**, and the footer icons. | | Bar at the bottom of the screen | Opens **Home**, **Missions**, **Email**, **Docs**, and **Scheduled**. | | **Search or jump to…** | Still in the top bar. It opens the command palette. | The help icon and the **What's new** icon are hidden on a phone. Use the palette entries **Help & support** and **What's new** instead. Keyboard shortcuts need a keyboard. The **Keyboard shortcuts** link at the bottom of **Help & support** opens the command palette. To see the shortcut legend, press **?**.
